Need to Vent

I know I said I would update on Sundays, but I really need a vent session. Sometimes I just want to scream, curse, and cry my eyes out all at once. This world is so jacked up! Why is it that the harder someone tries to make things work, the harder things get to accomplish. How do they expect us to care for our kids, when minimum wage sucks butt, unemployment is shooting up (look at recent info from Chicago - seriously, 2500 will supposedly lose their jobs by the end of 2012, pathetic), and the rich just keep getting richer! What the hell, man! What about those of us who bust our butts on a daily basis just to make sure that our children are fed? Do we really want someone in office that doesn't really care about the little man? Someone that wants to make us pay even more money just because some of us can't afford to pay an arm and a lag for friggin health insurance. If you want more people to be insured, either lower the prices or offer it for free. Seriously, friggin retarded people!

And to think, this whole little rant started because people at the unemployment office are dumbasses. What do you mean, you can't help me! There's no way to go into your system and fix an error that was made? I have to wait another 2 weeks to get my unemployment check so that I can feed my children because you have a system  that locks shit into place and can't be changed. Does the government even really care about the people, or is it really all just about getting money in your pockets. NEWS FLASH!!! You have enough money in your pockets, hows about providing money for the low income families that are struggling to make it through one day at a time instead of being greedy, cold-hearted bastards that pay more attention to what whore they can get without their wives finding out (and even the women that are screwing around behind their husbands backs).

There are times when I am proud to be a part of this country. Like when I see a Soldier coming home from war, someone that is willing to put their life on the line for billions of people that they don't even know. That makes me proud (former active duty, current reservist and my hubby is active duty). It's times like these that make me smile, make me glad that I live in a country were people care about you even if they don't know you. Also, that park worker that spent hours digging through trashbags trying to find that womans ring because "she seemed like a nice person and her and her husband seemed to be very in love". That is what makes every day worth fighting through.

Why can't our government have the same outlook? Why aren't they willing to lay their life, or at least their lifestyle, on the line to protect the people of this supposed great nation when people that make hundreds of thousands less than they do, do it every damn day?!

DEAR GOVERNMENT:

PAY ATTENTION TO THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT AND PROTECT. TAKE A DEEPER LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE REALLY DOING TO US AND STOP BEING GREEDY BASTARDS LONG ENOUGH TO FIX OUR ECONOMY AND GET US OUT OF THIS RUT THAT YOU PUT US IN BEFORE WORRYING ABOUT WHERE YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOUR NEXT MILLION FROM!

                                         FIX OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My First Rant

The Beginning

First of all, the definition of rant: to speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way.

I just want to start this out by noting that I am new to the blogging world. Sad, really, when you think about it. I'm twenty-four years old, married, with two kids (three if you count my step-daughter that lives with her mother) and I have absolutely no blogging experience. In fact, the majority of my online time is spent researching essays (or other stuff for school), playing on FB, or writing to update the books I'm posting to wattpad.com (which you should check out if you have an extra moment. My user name is HollyMiller5... Don't ask). Other than that, much of my technological experience stems from playing The Smurfs on my phone (which is a crappy Android Galaxy S thingy).

Aside from that, my world revolves around my husband, my two year old daughter and my seven month old son. That's right, I don't have a full time job. Nope, instead, I'm a stay at home mom who will start school next month to become a Pharmacy Technician (which is apparently a year long program). I am unlucky enough to live a minimum of fourteen hours from my family and roughly eleven hours from my husbands. I hate that we live so far away, but such is the life of a military family. My husband is active duty and I am a reservist, but before you go off on me being a "weekend warrior" I spent three and a half years active duty alongside my husband. Before we got married, he came up on change of duty station orders and since we were already planning our wedding and I was pregnant, we had a long conversation and decided that it would be best for only one of us to stay active so I switched to reserves because the reserve unit here where he's stationed had an opening for my particular MOS, so everything worked out for the best.

Anyways, that's enough for now. I know it's probably not a very long "rant", but I just wanted to introduce everyone to me. I will attempt to post every Sunday (since my classes, once they start, will be Monday-Thursday, so I'll have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to build up rants to entertain all of you wonderful peoples!

Until next time,
Read, Write, Love <3

P.S. Yes, that is my signature. I use it at the end of all of my posts on wattpad.com and I plan to use it here as well.
